Eastern Christian School welcomes Justin Hwang as high school dean of students.
Justin holds a bachelor’s in mathematics and secondary education from The College of New Jersey and a master’s in educational leadership from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Before joining EC, he previously taught math at Leonia High School and coached varsity boys tennis. He is a member of The Church Gathered and Scattered, where he serves in the college ministry.
I am extremely excited to be at EC and to serve the school community, desiring to foster student growth academically, emotionally, and most importantly, spiritually. I grew up in Harrington Park, NJ and am happily married to my wife, Joyce. Right now, I spend a lot of time playing golf with friends and watching sports. I am a huge Cowboys fan, but also love the Yankees and the Knicks.
As an educator, it was always extremely important for me to see my students grow in the classroom, but also as a contributor to life after school. As I matured in my faith, I realized that the best way to do that was at a Christian school, and Eastern Christian shares that same vision. My prayer is that while at EC, the students can learn how to see the world in a Christian worldview and become valuable members of society while incorporating their faith into everything that they do.
