Please tell us about yourself.

I grew up in Richmond, Virginia. I enjoy running, hiking, reading. Oftentimes, I go for walks with my husband to spend time outdoors. We also love playing board games. We moved to New Jersey in June of 2021, due to my husband being called onto the pastoral staff at Liquid Church. I am passionate about building the foundation of faith in children and supporting them as they grow in their identity in Christ.

Tell the story of how you got to EC?

I have taught four years in the public school system, and last year I worked in children’s ministry at my church. Over the past year, I loved being able to incorporate my faith into my job, however, I really missed interacting with children each day. I felt called to step into working at EC to use the gifts that God has given me and allow me to share about God’s love.

What sets EC apart?

I really think it is crucial to speak God’s truth to children at a young age to train them up in the way they should go. The voices of the world can be loud, so it is important to share with children their identity and gifts that God has given them. I appreciate how Eastern Christian focuses on serving and loving our neighbors, and the holistic Christian education the school provides.
